Maja Weiss, Screenwriter, director, producer, pedagogue

Author of live action films, documentary films, over 50 works, about 40 awards at home and abroad. She and her sister Ida Weiss, founded The Bela film in 1998 (www.belafilm.si), in 2010 they founded The Maja Weiss Institute, a center for cultural activities. She is the initiator of the Kolpa Film Camp (2008) for high school students, mentor of a documentary workshop. Lecturer at the Novo mesto School of Economics, Vocational College. Member of the European Film Academy, the Association of Slovenian Directors, the Aspi Association – Association for Helping Adolescents and Adults with Spectroautistic Disorder (https://www.drustvo-aspi.si/). She places herself among film activists as she addresses topics in her works such as poverty, nationalism, genocide, refugees, war, and gender equality.

Janez Jaka Pucihar, Editor, director, musician and Rotarian

He was employed at RTV Slovenia for more than 35 years. In 1990, he was a founding member of the Rotary Club Ljubljana, president of RC Ljubljana in 1997/1998 and a member of the club for 33 years. Organizer and co-author of the Charitable St. Nicholas Concert, which will be its 31th this year. All funds raised at the concert, have been intended for primary school students from socially disadvantaged families throughout Slovenia.

Mojca Lipec - Stopar, Professor of Special and Rehabilitation Pedagogy, higher education teacher at the Faculty of Education Ljubljana

Mojca Lipec Stopar, Professor of Special and Rehabilitation Pedagogy, is a higher education teacher at the Faculty of Education, University of Ljubljana, where she participates in the implementation of programs for future special and rehabilitation pedagogues, speech therapists, social pedagogues and class teachers. She cooperates with many institutions in the field of education – both at home and abroad.

Gregor Pečan, President of the Association of Principals of Primary and Music Education of Slovenia

He tries to spend as much time as possible on either a mountain bike or just hiking. Unfortunately, he does not have much time; he is the principal of the Janka Modra Dol Ljubljana Primary School. Luckily, he loves his job, so he suffers less when it is a nice day outside and he has to be at work.

dr. Katja Vadnal, former President of the Slovenian Association for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities

Dr. Katja Vadnal,  headed the Association of Sožitje – a federation of associations for the support of people with intellectual disabilities in the years 2006-2022, and now chairs the Association’s Expert Council. She is also a member of the Council for Persons with Disabilities of the Republic of Slovenia. During her sixteen years of leading the Association, she has learned a lot about the world of children, adolescents and adults with intellectual disabilities and their families from her own experience with her grandson with Down syndrome, from the experience of many other members of the 51 Sožitje associations, and from conversations with experts and decision-makers, as agriculture is her field of professional work. She believes that Slovenia must be kind and respectful to all its people, including children, young adults and older people with intellectual disabilities and their relatives.

Irena Plut, Director of the Cultural Center Semič

Irena Plut že skoraj devet let vodi Kulturni center Semič, belokranjsko stičišče kulturnega dogajanja. Delo v Kulturnem centru ni nikoli monotono. Dinamičnost in raznolikost zagotavljajo področja, ki jih pokriva: kultura, turizem, šport in mladina.  Spremembe znotraj njih in med njimi jo dnevno urijo v prilagajanju in usklajevanju, nemirni duh pa išče več in boljše. Znamenje v katerem je rojena ji ne ravno olajša njenega delo. Dvojčka v njej se prerekata: eden pravi da, drugi ne.  A pri S-Faktorju sta enotna: “Da, sodelujemo, pomagamo in rastemo skupaj.”,

Jernej Kuntner

Jernej Kuntner is an established  Slovenian drama actor. He graduated from AGRFT in Ljubljana in 1996. He is active in theater, film, television, radio and dubbing animated films. He has been a regular member of  Lutkovno gledališče Ljubljana theatre since 2010 and is the pillar of the drama program. He was often awarded for his work. So far, he has played over 40 roles in theaters and in over 80 radio plays, directed over 90 animated Slovenian dubbings films and played over 100 roles in them, filmed over 10 featured films and acted in a large number of TV series (TV Dober dan, Pod eno streho, Brat bratu, Usodno vino, Najini mostovi, Za hribom…).

Vojko Veršnik, Musician, music pedagogue, author

For twelve years, he worked as a professional musician in the countries of Western Europe, in Canada and on Mallorca. After that, he devoted himself to music education in Slovenia. Since 2007, he has been teaching the population of children with special needs and advocates for their recognition and well-being in society. He also participated in the creation of textbooks and workbooks for music education in elementary schools and was also a reviewer for one of them. He is a frequent active participant in international ethno/musicological symposia and conferences (e.g. ICTM, Bangkok (Thailand) 2019) and the author of such professional articles. His field of creation and research is primarily the musical life of elderly and persons with special needs. He was also the author of the lyrics, music and screenplay and mentor to the students of Slovenj Gradec Third Elementary School on the three winning S-factor videos: Be different (2017), Sun for all (2019) and Rainbow of Hope (2021). For his work, he received, among other things, Honorable Gallus Badge and Plaquette by the JSKD (National Slovenian Association for cultural activity); the Bojan Adamič Gold Medal, and in 2018 the Vrunč Award for outstanding successes and achievements in the field of education.

Gašper Mihelič, slovenian musician

Gašper Mihelič, Slovenian musician, born in 1990 in Novi Mesto. He has been involved in music since he was in elementary school and where his first successes date back to. He won the festival Glas mladih and an award for the best debutant at the European Euro Pop Youth Festival in Hungary. He performed and gave concerts with various bands and in 2012 became one of the top finalists in the TV show X Factor SLOVENIA. His greatest passion and priority is creating music for the duo 2B https://www.youtube.com/@2bbandOfficial, and working together with his brother Primož. Their music is frequently played on national radio stations. They have been nominated several times for the Golden Flute academy award, their song became the song of the week and won the very top of domestic and international charts. 2B have already released 5 studio albums, they are also the recipients of several awards, including the Danil Kocjančič awards for the best author and performer, which they received in 2019 at the MMS festival.

Nejc Mihelič, graduated media production engineer

I am 23 years old and have successfully completed elementary school, the Novo mesto Secondary School of Economics (media technician program) and the Novo mesto Vocational College (media production major), and as part of my studies at the Novo mesto Vocational College, I have also successfully obtained the title of graduate engineer media productions. Otherwise, in my spare time I like to cycle and edit music in Adobe Audition. I know music really well, as well as movies and actresses and actors.
