S-FACTOR is a project which promotes the inclusion of young people with special needs through their own production and showing of short videos. The organizer, coordinator and contractor of the project is the Elementary school Milka Šobar – Nataše, Črnomelj.
The main goals of the project are: the inclusion of pupils with special needs in the project, working with students of regular elementary schools, making of videos, presenting the videos to the general public, exchanging experiences. The main focus is on the video as a tool of inclusion.
The project is carried out among Slovenian elementary schools with special programs curriculum and similar institutions abroad.
The idea comes from the English project S-Factor Into Eurovision 2015. Organisation Momentum World from UK linked special schools in 6 countries through a Eurovision-style music video competition. http://www.momentumworld.org/?s=s-factor
In june 2015 we prepared the voting event in Črnomelj, Slovenia, where all the videos were seen and judged by our students and the jury http://osmsn.splet.arnes.si/2015/06/24/s-factor-final-event/
Our school produced two music videos and one of them, Bass, took the final second place.
